I agree with Shannon Dawson and Shawn Parnham with regards of the argument being one sided. Yes Obama does not seem to compare with Chavez in this article but that is also the affect of the writing style. While writing a persuasive essay we are taught to focus on our argument and to be clear as to what we want to say. The writer definitely did that for, his position was defending Chavez and portraying how “terrible” a president Obama is. To be honest I dislike the immaturity of the author. And it is unfair to look at an argument from one point of view; you can not choose a side without hearing the rest. Of course there are things Obama can improve on but, like Shannon stated earlier, he took over a country that has a deficiency of good leaders in the past. He has a lot of repair work to do before he can start accomplishing his promised goals, which will most definitely not occur over night. How ever I must say, congrats to Chavez on all his success, and the changes he has made for his country. But leave Obama alone. He is doing what is possible.
